Version of The Web

 Version of The Web

Web 1.0

Originally, data was posted on websites, and users simply viewed or downloaded the content. Increasingly, users have more input into the nature and scope of web content and, in some cases, exert real-time control over it.

Web 2.0

Websites enable community-based input, interaction, content sharing and collaboration. Types of social media sites and applications includ microblogging, social bookmarking and wikis. Provides increased functionality and availability of web application programming interfaces, which are internet-based web services with an Hypertext Transfer Protocol-based programming interface.

Web 3.0

We need to look into the future. Although there are elements of Web 3.0 currently available today, it still has a way to go before it reaches full realization. This idealized version didn’t quite pan out due to technological limitations, like how expensive and complicated it is to convert human language into something readily understood by computers.
